President Obama – “Clean up your own backyard…”- Elvis Presley July 18, 2016

Recently, after yet ANOTHER police ambush, President Obama has seen fit to implore Americans to: “Tamp down inflammatory rhetoric”.  He stated that: “We need to temper our words and open our hearts … all of us,”.

Mr. President, I am afraid you are a day late and a dollar short on this point! In watching you now try to put the proverbial genie back in the bottle, I am reminded of one of my favorite Elvis songs – Clean up your own backyard.  The song starts with the following:

“Back porch preacher preaching at me
Acting like he wrote the golden rules
Shaking his fist and speeching at me
Shouting from his soap box like a fool
Come Sunday morning he’s lying in bed
With his eye all red, with the wine in his head
Wishing he was dead when he oughta be
Heading for Sunday school”

The Obama administration and its followers have a history of using Race and race baiting to advance a political agenda within the United States.  When this inflammatory speech begins to compel people to act with violence suddenly “WE ALL” need to temper OUR words?   Mr. Obama and his followers have fanned the flames of racism for years and now that our country is at a boiling point, he is wanting to lay blame at the feet of those who had nothing to do with the issues. 

Does the US have problems with race? Sure. Does France? Yup.  Does every single nation on Earth have some form of issue with racism? YES!.  This is not to diminish the fact that work needs to be done in our own Country.  This post is intended to remind Mr. Obama that words have power and after fanning the flames of racism it is very difficult to put out the fire.  Using rhetoric to advance a political agenda instead of taking measured, appropriate steps incites the very violence Mr. Obama now decries.  While he is looking to everyone to tamp down the rhetoric, he needs to (in the immortal words of Elvis..) first clean up his own back yard.

 Here are a few of the more memorable comments made by the feckless Mr. Obama and his cronies:

“They’re going to put y’all back in chains.”- Biden when speaking about Republicans to a largely Black audience in Virginia in 2012.

“the Cambridge police acted stupidly.”- Obama in talking about Henry Gates’ arrest in Harvard. 2012

“It stains the heart of black children who feel as if no matter what he does, he’ll always be under suspicion.”- Obama speaking on the death of Michael Brown.2015

“Would this have happened if the driver were white, if the passengers were white?” he asked. “I don’t think it would have.” – Governor Mark Dayton (D. Minn) speaking on the death of Philando Castille 2016 (one day after the shooting)

 (He)“…drew on the long history of bombs and arson and shots fired at churches — not random, but as a means to control. A way to terrorize and oppress.” – Obama speaking on Dylan Roof 2014

“The fact that this took place in a black church obviously also raises questions about a dark part of our history. This is not the first time that black churches have been attacked,…”- Obama speaking on Dylan Roof 2014

“I think the danger is that we somehow suggest that the act of a troubled individual speaks to some larger political statement across the country. It doesn’t,” – Obama speaking about the Dallas shooter who killed 5 white police officers. 2016

“So let’s condemn the violence. But let’s not ignore the underlying problem. Let’s not pretend the system is fair. Let’s not pretend everything is okay,” he said. “Let’s not pretend the path from poverty like the one I traveled is still available to everyone out there as long as they work hard.”- Obama speaking on Baltimore riots. 2015

What is more disturbing?  Watching Hilary Clinton now kiss the collective asses of those of which she once said: “They are often the kinds of kids that are called ‘super-predators,’ “

Mr. Obama’s administration has created a country that is as divided as I have ever seen.  When it fits his agenda and supports his and his party’s position he appears fine with continuing the rhetoric.  When it finally reaches a point where police are being killed in the street suddenly it is “OUR” fault and “OUR” responsibility.  Again, Mr. Obama, tend to your own backyard and I will tend to mine!
